Telkomsel Target 100% Growth for Mobile Wallet Service

Telkomsel had projection to double its T-Cash user, a Telkomsel mobile wallet service and also to prepare the first cellular remittance (money tranfer ) service system in Indonesia.

Bambang Supriyogo Vice President Mobile Commerce PT Telkomsel (07/22) said Telkomsel plan to increase its T-Cash user, until June 2008, there are 10.000 number use the service.

T-Cash is a service that let Telkomsel’s customers to use their cellphone as a tool to do some stuff such as purchasing goods or services, payment, and a like.

The benefit is obvious, customers will not necessarily bring their money when they want to make such transaction.

Further, Bambang said Telkomsel will increase mobile wallet service promo in the second semester of 2008, especially to the Telkomsel user and merchant.

Telkomsel also had prepare to modify its system for the implementation of remittance service that will be launch in the end of 2008.

Telkomsel will adopt the same system that applied in Philippine by Globe Telecom which offer G-Cash mobile wallet service.

Kiskenda Suriahardja Telkomsel President Director said Telkomsel hope remittance licence will be issue soon by Central Bank.

And the service will not only for local but also in national and global scale.

Further, Kiskenda said the benefit for this service are will reduce capital flight and support the money mobilization for micro payment.

For the merchant , Telkomsel had partnership with Indomaret, a chain store with 2.703 outlet in Jakarta, West Java, East Java, Central Java, North Sumatra and Lampung and Fuji Image Plaza, photographic products retail with 400 outlet in Riau, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Bali, West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, North Sulawesi and South Sulawesi.

Jamsostek join with Railink to Work on Airport Railway

PT Jamsostek, State-owned labor insurance firm, join with PT Railink,  PT Kereta Api and PT Angkasa Pura II consortium, to build and manage IDR 4.6 trillion Airport Railway project.

Masjraul Hidayat Railink president director (07/22) said Railink hope Jamsostek partnership with the consortium could make them win government tender of 32.7 km Airport Railway Project.

Masjrul said Jamsostek commitment for the project announce after Railink had give a presentation its plan to build and operate train line from Manggarai station to Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

Hotbonar Sinaga Jamsostek president director said Jamsostek plan to invest IDR 200 billion fund in the form of capital participation.

For the financing, Railink had forecast 70% of IDR 4.6 trillion total investment would be financed by bank loan, 15% from consortium equity and the rest 15% from other investor.

Masjraul said Jamsostek expected to invest about IDR 675 billion equity or 15% of total project investment, but its still on discussion and if we could win the tender.

Airport Railway targeted to take 27% market share of total airline passengger at Soekarno-Hatta Airport which had reach 40 million people a year.

Sugiadi Waluyo, Director of Railway Traffic and Service, Directorate General Railways, Ministry of Transportation said the tender for Airport Railway will start soon and in September, we had get the name of tender winner.

Further, he mention if the tender participants only two, the second tender process will open and if in both tender only one company participate then the ministry will start a negotiation with that company.

The tender value for Airport Railway project are IDR 4.6 trillion with 30 year concession period and could be extend for another 10 year.
