Telkomsel To Strengthen Its International Roaming Services
Telkomsel to strengthen its roaming services with offering seamless roaming to support about 400.000 Telkomsel subscriber who travel abroad every month.
Telkomsel President Director Kiskenda Suriahardja (06/24) said through this service, subscriber who had international travel will enjoy the same quality service like at home.
To the subscriber, Telkomsel offer Prepaid Local Roaming Number service at IDR 3.000/minute flat rate to make call to Indonesia and free roaming.
Telkomsel subscriber who often travel abroad also could enjoy cheap data services tariff through Bridge Data Roam with monthly package option.
For 15 MB they will be charge IDR 280.000,- and IDR 560.000,- for 40 MB.
Seamless roaming is a cooperation program of Bridge Alliance (BA), a network of 11 cellular operator in Asia Pacific region.
One of BA mission is to present global services through joint regional product development and cellular service.
The aim of the cooperation are to reduce duplication of effort and avoiding high cost investment by individual operator in order to reach efficiency.
BA established in Novermber 2004 with members are Airtel (India), Advanced Info Services (Thailand), CSL (Hong Kong), CTM (Macao), Globe Telecom (Philippine), Maxis (Malaysia), Sing Tel Mobile (Singapore), Sing Tel Optus (Australia), SK Telecom (South Korea), Taiwan Mobile (Taiwan) and Telkomsel (Indonesia).
